Mild back pain is usually caused by
poor posture, sudden movements, or lifting heavy objects,
all of which may strain the back. Back pain is also common
in pregnancy. Persistent or severe back pain may be the
result of a more serious problem. You should consult your
doctor if pain persists or is associated with other symptoms.
