Causes & Diagnosis of Diseases :
Migraine
Another type of headache which is characterized by paroxysmal attacks and occurs in bouts is migraine. The patient always feels intense pain only on one side of the head and manages to lead a perfect normal life between attacks. The primary cause of such headaches is generally considered to be excessive worry and anxiety. Exposure to heat of the sun, cold winds or snow for a considerable length of time precipitates this headache. Patients of migraine also suffer from sinusitis. Heaviness of the head and nasal congestion in a mild form are experienced between attacks. Nausea accompanies this intense pain in the head and vomiting eases the pain. Patients suffering from migraine are usually constipated, and have to be treated for this. Both body and mind are involved in this disease which is primarily psychosomatic. In the following chapter, some common diseases are analysed and their treatment outlined.
