Rheumatism :

In rheumatism, the site of origin of the disease is to colon while the site of manifestation lies in the joints. Rheumatism is a disease marked by inflammation and pain in the joints and muscles, usually recurrent and often caused by exposure to cold. It is also at times associated with fever. If the disease is not identified and treated in time, it can affect the heavy. Known as amavata in Ayurveda, the disease is caused by the circulation of a substance called ama in the body. Ama is introduced in the body as a result of improper digestion and metabolism. It accumulates in the joints and causes inflammation and pain. In general, patients with a tendency towards constipation and those who are prone to irregular diets are affected by amavata.
